Exploring Turpan region
Ride to ruined Gaochang, capital of the Uighur people, and the
treasurefilled Atsana Graves. Across the Flaming Mountains, we
explore the Bezeklik Thousand Buddha Caves before arriving in
Turpan. Tonight, enjoy some Uighur song and dance.

Turpan Basin; overnight desert

Venture to ruined Jiaohe.a Chinese garrison built in 2nd century,
B.C;and the underground Karez Wells. At Daheyan, a train whisks
us overnight acorss the desert.

| Day 10: |
Explore Dunhuang
and Mogao Grottoes.
After disembarking your train in Liuyuan, travel by minibus to
Dunhuang and its County Museum. Then, see China's most spctacular
trove of Buddhist artifacts, the cliffbound Mogao Grottoes.

| Day 11: |
Camel trekking on Mingsha
Mountain; flight to Xian
Your ship of the desert strides up the shifting sands of these
immense dunes to Crescent Moon Lake. Later we fly to Xian.

| Day 12: |
Terra
Cotta Army.
Behold the 6,000 sculpted, life-sized soldiers, generals, charioteers,
and horses of the Terra Cotta Army.These archaeological treasures
were discovered at the entrance to Emperor Qin Shi Huang's tomb.
We tour the three excavation sites, and upon return stop at the
Hua Qin Hot Springs.

Exploring Xian.
Explore Xian's Old City Walls, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and Shanxi
History Museum.
Fly to Beijing

Beijing---Home
Free till transfer to the airport and fly back home
